Using the ANT Landscape Plugin to make a Low Poly Terain

Today I will deviate from my flim series to show how to use the ANT Landscape Addon and the Shrinkwrap Modifer to make a Low Poly Landscape with good detail. A very good detailed expanation of how to use the ANT Landscape Add On can be found on Blender Cookies’ Site. Look below for the video and the download link for all the source files for this session.

Thank you for the comment. If you download the source files I need to appologize for the selection of materials which were not the best tor the model, but the concept was the important part.

Hey, do you have any idea how to use ASTER files to import data points from LIDAR to create actual 3D terrains? I tried to find a way to contact you directly, but couldn’t.

    Thanks!

I just went to the website for NASA ASTER to see what you were talking about. At the moment I do not, however, you did spark my interest and I will do a bit of investigating. As far as contacting me the tab at the top should have taken you to a page where my site will send me an email with your message. I will get back to you privately if I come up with a solution.
